Our Values
There's a lot of pressure on kids and parents alike at the table, and there's no avoiding stressful moments. It's a ton of work for parents to produce family-friendly meals that everyone will enjoy.
It’s not our goal that our kid eats everything we eat. Our job is to help our kids to learn about different foods, to be able to talk about textures and flavors, and be more comfortable and engaged at the table.
While there’s no magic recipe for dinnertime bliss, we believe:

-
Being together at the table is as important as anything you cook.
-
Trying a small bite of something new is a big win.
-
Color is yummy.
Beige foods are awesome but multicolored meals are more fun (and yes, more nutritious).
-
Snacks, desserts, added sugar, processed foods…
We like them! In moderation.
-
Food comes from somewhere -
- whether it’s the garden, farm, river, pantry, supermarket shelf or restaurant kitchen. It doesn’t just get dropped on your plate by an alien spaceship.
-
Meals take work!
Setting the table, cooking, cleaning up.. All of these things are opportunities for kids to be more engaged and feel included in a sometimes scary process.
